Description
Presented is a beautiful coin silver serving spoon from the mid-1800s. This piece displays a twisted handle and fluted shell bowl. The spoon is decorated at the top of the handle with lovely floral engravings and a monogram, CCN, displayed in an Old English script. This piece is marked on the reverse with the maker, James Mix Jr., a New York silversmith from 1846-1881. The spoon is in great overall condition. The pattern details are well-defined.
