Description
Rare original periodical called "The Florida Home Journal" published in Jacksonville, FL in August, 1895. I researched this thoroughly and the only other copies of it I could find are digitized versions located in the University of FL archives and the Library of Congress. This magazine appears to be exactly as it sounds, a home journal specific to the state of Florida, which apparently was starting to boom at the time. There are great ads, original poetry and nonfiction articles about farming, housekeeping, decorating, health, etc, along with new home plans. Loads of interesting stuff in here. It's also in remarkable condition, complete at 32 pages, binding tight, no stains or tears, only yellowing from age. Please feel free to ask any questions. Great, unique piece of Florida history!
