BEFORE YOU BID Please READ THE FULL ITEM DESCRIPTION and make sure you agree to the terms below *** YOU ARE BIDDING ON VINTAGE SILVER PLATE / ZINC PLATE CUTLERY * SERVING SPOON SET * Size: 10-3/4" long Approx. weight: 5oz. each *** DESCRIPTION & CONDITION Up for auction is a vintage, gently used set of either SILVER Plated or ZINC Plated art nouveau style serving spoons with filigree incased cobalt blue glass accents without original packaging. These rare pieces are unmarked and therefore history and age information is unknown. They appear to be in the style of vintage GSA Godinger silver art company, Neiman Marcus pieces or European pieces of the early 20th century. This lovely set has a hefty, solid feel to them and are in overall very good, very well constructed condition. Finish is unconfirmed but they do tarnish like silver plate or zinc does. They have been polished for presentation. The spoon does have a large dull spot on the backside that when polished as you see in photo #5, does not really stand out. Both pieces also have very minor, almost invisible small surface spots in different areas that resemble (for a lack of a better description) dishwashing spots on drinking glasses. Other than that and as you see, both pieces are still very attractive and their minor flaws do not affect using or displaying them.
